The Top Scorer Candidates After Four Weeks of Premier League

There has been goals galore in the Premier League this season. Liverpool have conceded 11 in just four games, while the likes of Son Heung-min and Dominic Calvert-Lewin are betting above a goal per game.

But who are the players that could finish the season at the top of the charts, and what do the bookmakers make of it?

Jamie Vardy

Jamie Vardy has continued his fine form into this season and is once again one of the main contenders for the top scorer title.

He’s netted five already this season and is priced at 6/1 with most bookmakers. He’s our favourite to finish as the league’s leader, with no international football to think about and very little competition to deal with either.

He’s a natural finisher and under Brendan Rodgers has really improved his game too.

Harry Kane

Son may be taking the plaudits at the moment, but Kane has certainly looked dangerous.

He’s been on the scoresheet three times already this season and every England fan will be hoping he can have a fruitful season.

He’s 7/1 to finish top scorer though, behind Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who has had a fantastic start to the season. We fancy him to be there or thereabouts by the end of the season though, with only injury perhaps preventing that.

Mo Salah

Mo Salah has been right up there the last few seasons and we expect nothing different from the Liverpool man this time around.

He’s got five so far this season and is likely to be consistent right across the season. He’s the current favourite with the bookmakers, priced around 4/1, and plenty of fans will be backing him given the number of goals Klopp’s men have been netting so far.

Mane has also enjoyed his share but isn’t as heavily backed, priced at 16/1 with platforms like Casinosnz.io.

Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang

He’s been knocking on the door of this award for a little while and under Mikel Arteta could finally get it.

He’s one of the most natural finishers in the division and as the leader of the team will want to set an example. It’s been a positive start to the season for the Gunners and at 7/1 with gambling and real money online roulette, it’s a nice price to be backing the Gabon international.

Other Contenders

Among the other contenders include Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who has had a fantastic start to the season. We can potentially see him dropping off though and at 11/2 is somewhat of a risk.

Callum Wilson (40/1) is a good outside bet. He’s been in solid form since arriving at Newcastle and again is one of the more natural finishers around.

Sergio Aguero will enjoy plenty of goals when he’s fit, but it’s just how long he will be fit for, with Raheem Sterling to mop the rest of the goals up. He’s Manchester City’s best chance of a top scorer and is priced at 14/1 with most bookies.
