Ozil and Mustafi shine for Arsenal

In the Preview of Arsenal v Tottenham, the Gunners fans will be finally pleased with the stunt the players proved, as the team went on to triumph over the local rivals Spurs in 2-0 home in the weekend. Here is what happened according to Manuel Rodrigues, Football Prediction specialist at FootballPredictions.com

Spurs were not fully functional at the back

Spurs boss Maurico Pochettino deployed a back three – Davinson Sanchez, Eric Dier and Vertoghen defended well, but results proved they were not able to hold Arsenal’s forward, with the second goal of the game came as a through pass from Mesut Ozil to Lacazette proving to be dangerous further making an assist to Alexis to find the back of the net – this proves Spurs are missing their defender Toby Alderweireld, who has been great from the beginning of season.

Mustafi marks his return

German defender, Shkodran Mustafi was previously unwanted in the summer by his club. But Mustafi returned from injury back in September and back into the first team and has made the Arsenal defence more solid. He opened the goal scoring in the derby with an unexpected header that left Hugo Lloris with no chance of saving the ball from finding the back of the net.

The Midfield was for the Gunners:

It was no news that Wenger’s squad were in control of the midfield and the rivals were no match for them, as they gained more possession. Spurs on the other hand kept losing the ball and were not composed in the midfield.

Two Germans were Outstanding:

As Mustafi scored the opener, Ozil was given a standing ovation as he was arguably the best player on the pitch. Ozil has created 34 chances for his team better than any player in the Premier League this season. He was awarded the Man of the Match for his awe-inspiring performance last weekend.
